💎 Why I Use Nano Gems (Alongside Natural Stones) and Why They Matter

I work with both ethically sourced natural stones and high-quality nano gems, because each has its own purpose, and each lets me create jewellery that feels powerful to wear.
🧬 First, What Is a Nano Gem?
A nano gem is a lab-created stone but unlike glass or resin, it’s made from real crystal materials, melted and grown under intense heat and pressure. They have structure, clarity, and durability just like natural gems but are built in a controlled environment instead of mined.
Think of it as a stone with zero baggage:

🔥 Why I Use Nano Gems
I don’t use nano gems as a shortcut I use them because they’re incredibly strong, heat-resistant, and vibrant. They hold up to the way I make jewellery molten metal, lost wax casting, high heat. A lot of stones can’t survive that. Nano gems can.
They also hold up in life.
They’re less likely to crack, chip, or dull and that means they stay solid for the wearer too. When everything feels too much, you want your ring to feel like it can take it. These can.
Plus, they come in jaw-dropping colours deep purples, lime greens, electric blues that just don’t exist naturally. That means I can design pieces that feel bold, raw, and unapologetically you.
🌍 And Yes I Still Use Natural Stones Too
I also use ethically sourced natural stones when they suit the piece. I work with trusted suppliers and only buy stones I know are conflict-free and responsibly mined. Some designs call for natural texture, flaws, depth and I love those just as much.
It’s not about one or the other. It’s about using the right material to make something real, lasting, and full of meaning.
